Sunday Morning Worship
We offer a spoken worship service with Scripture readings, a sermon, prayers, and holy communion every Sunday at 8:00 AM. At 10:00 AM, our worship expands to include sacred music and a children's church offering.
Morning Prayer
Morning Prayer is a lay-led service of worship held each Wednesday at 7am in the Conference Room. The Bible is read and prayers are offered for one another and the wider world​. Join us by entering through the College Street entrance.
Centering Prayer
A lay-led group gathers each Tuesday at 12:00 PM in the Chapel. We invite you to join us to explore and learn more about Centering Prayer as well as to experience this contemplative practice following a simple format that includes a 20 minute silent seated prayer followed by reading aloud a short excerpt from writings about contemplative practices and brief discussion centered on the reading. Newcomers are always welcome. Join us by entering at the College Street door.
Wednesday Noon Eucharist
The Service of Healing Prayer takes place on Wednesdays at noon in the Nave. The service includes lessons and a homily, prayers for healing and anointing for those who desire, and the celebration of the Eucharist.
Worship Music
Music is an important part of worship at Christ Episcopal Church. Our chancel choir helps lead congregational singing every Sunday at the 10:00 AM Holy Eucharist, accompanied by our 30 rank Holtkamp organ. Our bell and chime choir blesses us in worship on special occasions. For more information about music at Christ Church or to join a choir, contact Director of Music Ken Stein.
